In Judaism, it is surprisingly simple for a couple to sanctify their covenant with each other. Traditionally, the bride accepts an object of value from the groom, the groom recites a vow of consecration and both of these actions are witnessed. Everything else -- the huppah (canopy), the blessings, the breaking the glass, even the rabbi -- are customs that have changed over the years.

At the same time, the Jewish wedding ceremony is a rich, multi-dimensional spiritual experience. The couple has the opportunity to create sacred space, be in sacred time, sanctify their relationship and dedicate themselves to sacred purpose.

Rabbi Sam officiates at Jewish, interfaith and same-sex commitment ceremonies by creating a service that is personalized, spiritual and meaningful.
